James grew up in Utah and graduated from Utah State University with an undergraduate in Exercise Science. He went on to receive his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals. Thereafter, he has been trained in a number of specialties including family practice, urgent care, and behavioral health.

James’ background in exercise science has instilled in him the importance of a preventative and holistic approach to medicine. He enjoys procedural medicine and finds working in primary care and urgent care to be extremely rewarding because it allows him to help individuals with their immediate medical needs. He strives to work closely with other providers to ensure that each patient receives the highest standard of care and leaves feeling their concerns have been addressed.

In his free time, James enjoys spending time with family and playing games. As a lifelong lover of card and board games, he is always on the lookout for something new to play with his wife and friends. He also has a love of video games which he has shared with his two young sons. Getting out of the house he enjoys hiking, going out to the movies, attending cultural and art festivals, and exploring all the beauty Utah has to offer.
