Melissa was born and raised in Utah. She went to the University of Utah (U of U), where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She then attended Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) in Provo, Utah, where she graduated with her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She is also working towards her Doctorate of Medical Sciences, focusing on psychiatric care, at RMUoHP.
Before becoming a PA, Melissa was a medical assistant for over ten years. She has worked in various medical fields and has found primary care to be the most rewarding. She has developed a passion for working as a team to provide extraordinary, evidence-based care that focuses on an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional health. She has a special interest in behavioral health and is excited to offer this to all her patients.
When Melissa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, playing games of all kinds, watching movies, and spending time in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. When she has spare time for herself, she enjoys reading all kinds of books and is always looking for another great series to read. She also loves to travel, whether close to home or far away. She loves experiencing different cultures and finding new friends wherever she goes.
