Dr. Miles Layton is a board certified Family Medicine physician providing a wide array of medical services for people in the Utah County Area. He is proficient in many in-office procedures including minor skin procedures, IUD/Nexplanon removal and placement, well-women exams, and ingrown toenail excision. He received extra training in endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy for evaluation of many GI maladiescolon cancer screening, chronic diarrhea, rectal bleeding, gastro-esophageal reflux, gastritis, celiac disease, H. pylori infection, eosinophilic esophagitis and more.

Dr. Layton is from Centerville, UT and attended Brigham Young University where he graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Art degree in History. Dr. Layton attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO, where he was a recipient of the US Army’s Health Professions Scholarship and graduated in 2008. He completed Family Medicine residency in 2011 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, WA where he was elected chief resident. After a two year tour at an army clinic in Grafenwoehr, Germany, he returned to Madigan Army Medical Center for a 12 month fellowship in primary care endoscopy where he was trained in screening/diagnostic colonoscopy and diagnostic EGD (upper endoscopy). He completed his military service at Ft. Benning, GA, serving as Chief of the Gastroenterology Clinic and Core Faculty for the US Army’s largest Family Medicine Residency at Martin Army Community Hospital. Dr. Layton is grateful for and proud of the opportunity he had to serve his country.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Layton spends time with his wife and children in multiple family activities, plays basketball as often as time and occasion permit, and enjoys traveling.
