Parker Schouten, DO

Dr. Parker Schouten grew up in Riverton, Utah. While attending Utah Valley University, he worked as a medical assistant at Premier Family Medical, where he developed a passion for family medicine and caring for patients of all ages. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he attended Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Southern Utah. He then completed his Family Medicine Residency at Deaconess in Evansville, Indiana.

Dr. Schouten enjoys caring for the entire family—from newborns and children to adults and seniors—and values building long-term relationships with his patients. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, obesity and weight management, diabetes, and the treatment of depression and anxiety. He is committed to helping patients improve their overall health, prevent disease, and achieve a better quality of life.

In addition to comprehensive primary care, Dr. Schouten performs a variety of in-office procedures, including joint injections, skin biopsies, cyst removal, ingrown toenail removal, and IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Schouten enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing and watching sports, camping, hiking, and trail running in the mountains. He also served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lubbock, Texas.
